For two years now, Diesel Equipment Trading has official dealership of ELSBETT Technology GmbH. This company has specialized in the conversion of diesel engines for use of Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO), also known as rapeseed oil.
In Denekamp (St Lucia residential complex) we have realized a project with Elsbett. There are fourteen Mitsubishi 6 cylinder diesel engines, converted to run on SVO and joined together into a genset. Providing power to hundreds of apartments, the city hall and a church. An Elsbett company in Barneveld has taken care of the engine conversion at Elsbett in Germany. It is also there where the first Elsbett (single tank) system has been mounted. After that the engines have been joined into a genset. First the engines will be fuelled by straight vegetable oil, but on a later stage they will be fuelled by frying oil. Could it be more environmentally friendly?
